Dr. John C. Welker is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist dedicated to helping patients live fuller, more comfortable lives. He earned his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed both his general surgery and anesthesiology residencies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Welker then pursued advanced fellowship training in pain management at the world-renowned University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

For more than eight years, Dr. Welker has built and led the pain management department at Maury Regional, where he has been consistently recognized as a leader in neuromodulation in Tennessee. His expertise in innovative, minimally invasive therapies has helped countless patients find lasting relief from chronic pain.
Dr. Welker believes that effective pain management starts with listening and collaboration. He works closely with each patient to create a personalized plan that combines cutting-edge, multidisciplinary treatments with compassionate care.
