Dr. McHugh is a board-certified pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation physician doctor in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences in Louisville, Kentucky, on a National Merit Scholarship for his undergraduate degree. Dr. McHugh also completed a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology at University of Louisville while working as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Athletic Department. After completing his medical degree at University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. McHugh completed his residency at Ohio State University. During his residency, he was awarded the American Medical Association’s Leadership Award for his work with disable athletes.

Dr. McHugh is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has sub-specialty certification in pain medicine. He has also been recognized for several years as one of Nashville’s “Top Doctors” by US News & World Report, Nashville Lifestyles Magazine and Castle Connolly Medical Survey. Dr. McHugh and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with their three children.
