Dr. Culclasure, board certified in anesthesiology and pain management, attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, for his undergraduate degree. He then went on to the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston for his medical degree; followed by his anesthesiology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, DC while on active duty in the U.S. Army.
Growing up in a small town in South Carolina, Dr. Culclasure’s career in medicine was strongly influenced by his great uncle, the town’s general practitioner for over fifty years. In his spare time, his three grandchildren are his joy! Any time with them is a great day; he’s also an avid cyclist and enjoys traveling.
When I was a little boy, my grandmother often reminded me to follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I believe that is excellent advice for the practice of medicine. -Dr. Culclasure
