Dr. Fritz attended Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, for his undergraduate degree. He then went on to receive his medical degree from University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, before also completing his general surgery internship there, as well. Dr. Fritz completed an anesthesiology residency and anesthesiology and pain management fellowship at Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.
