About Dr. Peace
Dr. Wesley A. Peace is a board-certified physiatrist and interventional pain management specialist dedicated to helping patients regain mobility, improve function and live more fully. His approach combines rehabilitation medicine with advanced pain management techniques, with close attention to how persistent pain affects work, relationships, independence and daily life.
Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Dr. Peace graduated cum laude from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. He earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, then completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he served as Chief Resident. He returned to Nashville for fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine, which he completed in 2020.
Dr. Peace provides evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs, goals and functional limitations. Rather than treating pain in isolation, he looks at how symptoms affect movement and everyday life, and works with patients toward the activities that matter most to them. His clinical interests include electrodiagnostic testing (EMG and nerve conduction studies), interventional spine procedures, and neuromodulation therapies such as spinal cord stimulation.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Peace enjoys time with his wife, their three boys, and the family’s Doberman and Poodle. An enthusiastic traveler, he loves exploring new places with his family, and he holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. His favorite book is Rich Dad Poor Dad, and his favorite movie is The Matrix.
Successful pain management is not merely about reducing pain. It is about restoring the ability to live fully.
