Dr. York is a board-eligible anesthesiologist. Born and raised in Florida and New Jersey, he attended Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, for his undergraduate degree. Dr. York received his medical degree from the University of St. Andrews and the Western Infirmary General in St. Andrews and Glasgow, Scotland. He worked in Scotland for several years as a physician in a medical and surgical capacity before returning to Chicago, Illinois, to complete an anesthesiology residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical College, which he completed in 1997. Dr. York completed his pain management fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After his fellowship, Dr. York worked at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an attending physician, providing acute and chronic pain services, as well as anesthesiology service, before joining The Pain Management Group.
