Dr York was born and raised in Florida and New Jersey. His pre-medical education was spent In New Jersey and Virginia. His medical degree was from the University of St. Andrews and the Western Infirmary General in St. Andrews and Glasgow, Scotland. He worked in Scotland for several years as a physician in a medical and surgical capacity. Returned to Chicago, Illinois to complete Anesthesiology residency at Rush Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical College which he completed in 1997. Dr. York was accepted at Vanderbilt Medical Center for Pain Fellowship 1998-1999. He Completed fellowship and asked to join a group of Vanderbilt attendings providing acute/chronic pain services/anesthesiology service 2000-2004. He Joined the Pain Management Group in 2005.
